METU Northern Cyprus Campus announces winners of the Merit Scholarship, Honor and High Honor awards
METU Cyprus Continues to Celebrate The Achievements of Its Students
Winners of the Merit Scholarship, High Honor and Honor awards for the Fall Semester of the 2019-2020 Academic Year have been announced.
The award ceremony where certificates are presented to winners is an opportunity to remember METU's tradition of success. Students attend this ceremony with excitement and enthusiasm. The award ceremony, however, will not be held this year.
“I feel sorry because we will not be able to organize this event. I am looking forward to coming together to present your certificates, and celebrate the effort that you have put into achieving your goals, when life gets back to normal," Professor Nazife Baykal, Campus President, said in her message of congratulation to students. "I also greet all our students who do their best, who do not give up despite difficulties, and who are fiercely determined to make their way onward and upward in different locations and conditions, even while going through this challenging and unpredictable period oftime, and congratulate them all,” Professor Baykal added.
Students who achieve a grade point average between 3.00-3.49 for the semester are recognized as earning Honor Roll status, whereas those who achieve a grade point average between 3,50-4,00 are recognized as earning High Honor Roll status in compliance with the rules adopted by the University.
In the Fall Semester of the 2019-2020 Academic Year, 280 honor awards, 302 high honor awards and 64 Merit Scholarship awards were presented at METU NCC to the winning students.
