METU Ranks 9th

Last week, the 2018 QS University Rankings for Emerging Europe and Central Asia were released. The rankings highlight the top 300 universities in the Eastern Europe–Central Asia region.

The highest climber in the top 10 is the Middle East Technical University, up five places to 9th from 14th in 2017.

A total of 31 Turkish universities entered the EECA rankings. Middle East Technical University and Boğaziçi University were the only universities to enter the top 10.

This year’s rankings were compiled by assessing universities on eight different indicators, including the university’s online presence and the proportion of academic staff members qualified to a PhD level. More information about the methodology can be found here.
