Meltem Dirim
I have received my B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University Northern Cyprus Campus in June, 2010. My senior design project is named “An automatic antenna orientation system”. My senior group friends and me have published two technical papers [1-2] on our senior project and attended to Mediterranean Microwave Symposium (MMS-2010) and URSI (INTERNATIONAL UNION of RADIO SCIENCE) Turkish National Symposium which were held at METU-NCC in Northern Cyprus. I am currently working as an Electronic Engineer in Guidance Control Technologies Department at ROKETSAN A.S.

Melek Ayan (R&D Engineer at Soon Light & Project):
Received her B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University Northern Cyprus Campus in June, 2009. She worked at METU-NCC as a Physics Laboratory Assistant for 2 years. She is currently working as an R&D Engineer at Soon Light & Project and interested in LED lighting. She is the Project leader in the project named ‘Intelligent Road Lighting with Low Power’ supported by TÜBİTAK (TEYDEP).
Ömer Berat Sezer (R&D Engineer at TUBİTAK-UZAY and MS student at METU):
Received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University, Northern Cyprus Campus in 2009. He is currently pursuing a MS degree at Middle East Technical University in RF and Electromagnetics Group, Ankara. In addition to this, he is taking courses from Anatolian University for Business Admistration for a B.A. degree. He is also working as a R&D engineer at TUBİTAK-UZAY (TUBITAK Space Technologies Research Institute) Electronic System Design Embedded System Group. His research areas are embedded systems, computer architecture and electromagnetic waves.
Levent TÜMEN (MSc student at University of Bristol):
Graduated from high school, Turk Maarif College, Nicosia in 2004 and received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University, Northern Cyprus Campus in 2009. He is currently studying M.Sc. Degree in Computer Science at University of Bristol, U.K. His experience and interests include various programming languages like Assembly/C/C++/Java/Matlab, Computer Architecture and Integrated Circuit (IC) design.
Fikret TÜMER (Project Coordinator of AKFEN Hydroelectric Power Plant)
Received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University Northern Cyprus Campus in 2009. In 2008, he started working in ELTEM Engineering and Contracting Inc. as an intern student while completing his final semester course at METU main Campus in Ankara. After his graduation in 2009, he took permanent position at ELTEM as an Electrical and Electronics Engineer. During this relatively short period of professional experience, he has been involved in almost all stages of power engineering, ranging from project work to tender documentation and site installation. He worked on the engineering projects of an international tender of $213 million, namely, Electrical and Telecom Utilities for SSA Phase I & II, Ras Laffan of Qatar Petroleum, and prepared its tender document. He participated preparing the tender documents of several other projects, and worked as a site engineer of Cimpor 154kV Transformer Substation. He worked as construction supervisor in 154kV Bornova Transformer Substation and 154kV Power Transmission Line between Tire-Germencik, in İzmir. He participated in the erection of all transformer substation gadgetry of Temelli 380kV transformer substation and Afyon 380kV transformer substation. Currently he is the Project Coordinator of AKFEN Hydroelectric Power Plant Electromechanical Project consisting of six plants of 101,42 MW capacity in total, while retaining his involvement in various domestic and international tenders.
