Internship
In order to graduate from the Program, students must have completed their INE 300 internship at the end of the 4th semester and their INE 400 internship at the end of the 6th semester. In addition, the reports they will submit within this context must have been approved.
An INE 300 internship requires the student to make detailed observations about the manufacturing system and processes in a manufacturing company for 4 weeks (20 working days). The student is also required to submit an internship report that includes the data gathered through observation and that meets the requirements set out in the Internship Guidelines.
An INE 400 internship requires the student to make detailed observations about the production processes in a producing company for 6 weeks (30 working days). The student is also required to identify, define and formulate an Industrial Engineering problem and offer a solution methodology for the problem. Additionally, the student is expected to submit an internship report that is an overview of the internship experience. The internship report should meet the requirements set out in the Internship Guidelines.
