Workshop Festival

The 15th SFL Workshop Festival was held on June 27, 2022, which marked the crystal year of our annual workshop festival.

With the theme "Lessons Learned: Un-mask-ed", the festival mascot for this year was raccoons since besides being excellent learners, they are smart animals with a great memory. Research has shown that not only are they able to solve problems but they can also remember the solution and use it again years later. Similarly, our journey during online teaching and post-COVID face-to-face teaching is full of stories to tell and valuable lessons learned to share, which might guide us now and in the future.

We would like to thank the presenters, the participants, and our organizing committee members, Ezgi Topuz Sezen, Mehmet Durmaz, Melis Mireli, Pınar Şahin-Durmaz, and Zeynep Beril Turgut.

Workshop Festival

The 14th SFL Workshop Festival was held online on June 25, 2021, with the theme "Online Teaching: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly".  We chose this theme because as we transitioned from face-to-face education into online education, we all had different experiences. Some of these were good and some were not so pleasant. However, they all taught us something and helped us develop personally and professionally. Therefore, this event aimed to give participants the chance to share their stories with the rest of the participants and to reflect on their experiences.

We would like to thank the presenters, the participants, andour organizing committee members, Büşra Müge Özdil, Mehmet Durmaz, Melek Korudağ, and Pınar Şahin-Durmaz.
