EPE application process

Exam date: 9 June 2026 — Session 1 (Listening, Reading, Notetaking, Writing)
Exam start time: 10:00 (TRNC time)

Exam date: 10 June 2026 — Session 2 (Speaking)
Exam start time: To be announced on 9 June 2026 at 16:00 (TRNC time).

You may find the EPE dates for the 2025–2026 Academic Year in the Academic Calendar approved by the METU Senate.

The exam will be held face-to-face.

Important Information for Candidates

1. Please read the EPE Handbook carefully.

2. Exam Venue Information

Exam venues will be sent to candidates via e-mail.
Please make sure to check your e-mail regularly.

Exam venues for Session 1 will be sent on 8 June 2026 at 12:00 (TRNC time).
Exam venues for Session 2 will be sent on 9 June 2026 at 16:00 (TRNC time).

3. On the Exam Day

For Session 1 on 9 June 2026, please be in the exam building no later than 09:30.
For Session 2 on 10 June 2026, please be in the waiting area 15 minutes before your assigned time slot.

4. ID Requirement

Candidates must bring an official photo ID.
Those who cannot present an ID will not be admitted to the exam hall.

5. Materials to Bring

Who Can Take the Exam?

* Students who have a right to take the exam with regard to related regulations at the English Preparatory Program

* Transfer applicants outside METU (Additional Article 1, Additional Article 2, METU Transfer Directive)
