Important Announcement About 2020-2021 Academic Year Fall Semester

Dear Students,

As it announced, 2020-2021 Academic Year Fall semester to be conducted online. Therefore, interactive course registrations and advisor approvals will be online for undergraduate programs dates between 7 October (Wednesday) - 9 October (Friday) 2020.

Undergraduate, Graduate and School of Foreign Languages (Preparatory program) courses will start on 12 October 2020.

You can pay your 2020-2021 Academic Year Fall Semester Tuition fees between October 5th and October 9th, using the information below, at the relevant bank branches or by using a credit card at https://opay.ncc.metu.edu.tr. Information on bank accounts is given below. (Registration fee is included in the tuition fee seen in the system)

The registration system will open when the tuition fee is completed. If the payment is made incompletely or without using the details stated below, the course registration system will not be opened as your payment will not be reflected in the system. For this reason, our students are required to pay their tuition fees in the following ways. As it is announced before proforma invoice request forms are available for international students who needs proforma invoice in order to transfer the tuition fee from their countries.

The payment system for current students will be opened as of October 5, 2020 after the necessary controls are completed after the announcement of the summer school grades (Friday, October 2, 2020).

You can view the semester payment details from October 5, 2020 (The amount you have to pay and the payments you made) via SAIS (https://oibs.metu.edu.tr) Program 61 (Semester: 20201).

Undergraduate and graduate students are not required to be present on Campus in order to obtain the approval of their academic advisors to complete course registration. Another e-mail announcement will be posted regarding the interactive course registrations. Please follow the Registrar’s Office announcements carefully.

 

Important Notes:

 

  • Students who apply for leave of absence until the end of the add-drop period (October 23rd, 2020) will pay the half of their tuition fee amount plus the registration fee if their application is approved by the academic boards (except the first semester of the students). If the application date is after the end of the add-drop period, those students have to pay the tuition fee & registration fee for the semesters for which the permission is granted.

 

 

  • Students who would like to benefit from sibling discount should make their applications by filling the online student petition form (available at intranet) until the latest October 23rd, 2020. Please note that, you do not need to apply if you applied before. Both of the siblings must be registered for related academic semester in undergraduate programs in order to benefit from this discount.

 

 

 

  • Students who have at most 3 credit courses for their graduation should make their applications by filling the online student petition form (available at intranet) in order to benefit from the credit payment. These students will be informed when their payments will define at the system. Noncredit courses will calculate as 2 credits if students will register to noncredit courses with other courses.
