INTERACTIVE COURSE REGISTRATION
Interactive registration consists of the following steps:
- Payment of the tuition fee
- Completion of interactive course registration
After the registration process ends, a student who has not completed one of these steps is considered not to have registered for summer school.
Summer school registration for METU Ankara and METU Northern Cyprus Campus (METU NCC) courses will be conducted interactively between 13 - 14 July 2026.
- Registration is carried out via https://register.metu.edu.tr/ .
- The registration system opens at 09:00 on the first day of interactive registration and closes at 17:00 on the last day of registration. All students (on-campus/off-campus, wired/wireless) can log in to the system at the same time.

The courses planned to be offered in summer school are listed in the table below. Whether the courses listed below will actually be opened will be determined based on the number of students registering for them. You can access the day and time information for courses to be offered at METU Northern Cyprus Campus through the CET (Course Evaluation and Timetable) system.

METU NCC STUDENTS WHO WISH TO TAKE COURSES AT THE ANKARA CAMPUS SUMMER SCHOOL
- The courses planned to be offered in summer school at METU Ankara Campus can be accessed at the web address below. https://oibs2.metu.edu.tr/View_Program_Course_Details_64/
- Students who wish to take courses at METU Ankara Summer School must apply to their Program Coordinator at METU NCC and inform their advisor.
- Registration is carried out through https://register.metu.edu.tr/.
- In the same Summer School term, courses cannot be taken with one course at the Ankara Campus and another at METU NCC.
- If the course a student wishes to take is offered at METU Northern Cyprus Campus during Summer School, the student has to take the course at METU Northern Cyprus Campus.
- When METU NCC students register for courses offered at METU Ankara Summer School, they pay according to the per-credit fee schedule applicable at METU NCC.
- The following courses cannot be taken in the Non-Technical Elective (NTE) category at METU Ankara.
History of Jazz (MUS 231, MUS 232, MUS 331, MUS 332), History of Music (MUS 241, MUS 242), Foundations of Distance Education (CEIT 321).
SUMMER SCHOOL RULES
- The 2025-2026 Academic Year Summer School will be conducted face-to-face.
- Registration for METU NCC and METU Ankara courses will take place on the same dates.
- In summer school, a maximum of two courses may be taken, with no total credit limit.
- Undergraduate program students who are on probation may take courses based on the following rules:
a) Students with a cumulative GPA below 1.80 cannot take courses they have not taken before or courses in which they received a grade of W.
b) Students with a cumulative GPA between 1.80 and 1.99 may take at most two courses they have not taken before.
- A new elective course may be taken to substitute for a previously taken elective course.
- The Summer School academic calendar does not include add-drop or course withdrawal procedures.
- Our students are required to take courses offered at METU NCC at METU NCC.
- Both courses taken must be taken at the same Campus.
- Criteria, capacity, and other conditions for courses offered at both METU Ankara and METU NCC are determined by the department/program offering the course, and the METU NCC Registrar's Office has no authority in this matter.
- Courses taken before the 2024-2025 Fall Semester and passed with a grade of DD or higher cannot be taken again in the 2025-2026 Summer School due to the three-semester rule. This rule does not apply to students on probation.
- Students who become eligible to start undergraduate programs as of the end of the spring semester may participate in summer school. These students are required to apply to the Registrar's Office before the registration dates.
- To correct the category of a course that was mistakenly registered in a category it should not have been taken in, students must submit a category change request during the interactive course registration dates. METU NCC students must fill out the Student Application Form available on the Intranet to request a category change.
