Dear Students,
Any applicant wishing to benefit from the scope of the Provisional Article 83, which was added to the Higher Education Law No. 2547 based on the decision made at the Higher Education Executive Board meeting dated October 2, 2022, should apply in writing to the METU Northern Cyprus Campus, Registrar’s Office by 17:30 TRNC local time at the latest on December 7, 2022.
Amnesty can be granted to METU NCC students whose registration is cancelled after July 5, 2022 on the grounds that their maximum period of study has expired.
As per the related decision, students whose maximum period of study expires at the end of the Fall Term of the 2021-2022 Academic Year, and who are dismissed from University due to the number of courses left after exercising their right to additional exams granted, are also considered eligible for amnesty.

- A criminal record certificate obtained from the e-government / relevant authorities

For students whose maximum period of study has expired and who have used the rights granted at the end of this period, the grades they will receive at the end of the semester from the practice courses they are enrolled in and the grades they have earned from the additional exams they have attended in November, which will be reflected on their transcripts in January, will be taken into consideration.
Those who gain the right to register under this law but fail to register on the registration dates listed in the 2022-2023 Academic Calendar will lose their rights.
Students are required to pay their tuition fee by the date set and communicated by the University Administrative Board.
METU NCC students who qualify for amnesty will pay the same amount newly admitted students owe in tuition in the 2022-2023 Academic Year, and they will submit their payments under the category of “non-scholarship” payments.
