A concert titled "Selected Works by Turkish Composers" will be held in the Rauf R. Denktaş Hall of the Culture and Convention Center on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 20:00 PM. This concert is organised in collaboration with the TRNC State Opera and Ballet Coordination Center and Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Yunus Emre Institute in Nicosia.
Mezzo-soprano Ezgi KARAKAYA, tenor Barış YANÇ, pianist Esra POYRAZOĞLU ALPAN, soprano Sermin DİKMEN TÖRE, and baritone Tuğrul Enver TÖRE, featuring artists from KKTCDOB, TCDOBGM/ANKARADOB, will perform as soloists in the concert. The concert features a selection of works by Turkish composers, who transcended time by infusing our favorite tunes and poems that convey heartfelt stories with the universal qualities of polyphonic music.
All students and staff members are invited.
