Dear Students,
According to the Implementation Procedures and Principles determined by Middle East Technical University Senate regarding the undergraduate students who exceeded their maximum duration of education within the scope of Article 44 (c) of the Law No 2547;
A) Undergraduate students who want to apply for the Additional Exam at the end of their Maximum Duration of the Education;
Undergraduate students who exceeded their maximum duration of education by the end of the 2022-2023 Fall semester are supposed to apply to their Programs between March 27-31, 2023 with the FORM 1, including the course/s they will use their first additional exam right. Students who did not apply to use the additional exam right within the specified dates will not be able to apply for it again.
Students who benefit from the right to apply for the additional exam must pay the tuition fee for the 2022-2023 Academic Year Spring Semester on the dates specified in the attached calendar.
Students enrolled in Undergraduate Programs who have a maximum of 3 credit courses in order to meet the graduation re Students who benefit from the additional exam must pay the tuition fee and register for the semester. Undergraduate students who are required to complete a maximum of 3 credit courses to fulfil graduation requirements can benefit from the right to pay per credit and can benefit from the credit payment.
Students who will take the exam from more than 3 credit courses are required to make their semester payments.
FORM 1 (Application form for the undergraduate students who want to apply for the Additional Exam at the end of their maximum duration of the education)
- Additional Exam Schedule is attached.
- Undergraduate students who have "applied courses" are also supposed to follow the conditions specified in Article C.
- The courses deemed appropriate by the relevant students will be added by the Registrar's Office after the forms are approved and the contribution fees are completed.
- Related exams must be done face to face.
- Students who have only the right to take the exam with Form 1 cannot benefit from their student rights.
B)Undergraduate students who have 2 to 5 courses without taking the Additional Exams and want to benefit from the right of 4 Additional Semesters at the end of their Maximum Duration of the Education;
The students are supposed to apply to the Registrar’s Office with FORM 2 after getting approval from their academic advisors and the Program Coordinators between February 28 and March 3, 2023.
Students who want to benefit from the right of additional semesters have to pay the tuition fee until the latest March 3, 2023.
Undergraduate students who have 2 to 5 courses can apply for the Additional Exam by filling out FORM 1 without benefitting from the right of additional semesters.
The students who applied to the Registrar's Office with Form 2 between February 28 and March 3, 2023 will be able to enter the registration system on March 1 and 3, 2023, which is Interactive Registration and Advisor approval, to register for courses and get advisor approval.
These students benefit from student rights.
- FORM 2 (Application form for undergraduate students who have 2 to 5 courses without taking the Additional Exams and want to benefit from the right of Additional Semesters at the end of their Maximum Duration of the Education.
- Students who have reached the end of their maximum duration at the end of the previous semesters and benefited from the exam and applied course rights in the Fall semester of the 2022-2023 Academic Year, will be entitled to 3 additional semesters if the remaining number of courses is between 2 and 5 courses. Application must be made with Form 2.
C)Undergraduate students who want to benefit from the right of taking the “Applied Courses” for one-time at the end of the maximum duration of education;
Students are supposed to apply to the Registrar’s Office with FORM 3 after getting approval from their academic advisors and the Program Coordinator between February 28 and March 3, 2023.
Undergraduate students who want to benefit from the right of taking the “applied courses” for one time at the end of the maximum duration of education have to pay the tuition fee. These students benefit from student rights.
