Dormitory Fees

2025 - 2026 ACADEMIC YEAR DORMITORY FEES, PER PERSON

• The accommodation fee does not include the costs of breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the kitchens located in each of the dormitories, students are allowed to cook their own meals.

• The accommodation fees specified are annual (per year) fees and can be paid on a semester basis.

• USD amounts for Dorm Fees apply to students who pay their tuition in USD whereas TL amounts apply to students who pay their tuition fees in TL.

• Every student, including those who are on accommodation scholarship, must pay a deposit fee, which must be paid before registering for housing. Students who do not pay their deposit fee on time will be subject to penalties. Accommodation deposits are refunded to students when they move out of the accommodation provided that no damage or loss has been caused to premises.

• You can pay your accommodation fees by credit card through the online payment facility Interactive Payment System. Payments can also be made via EFT/Wire Transfer to the bank accounts provided.

FEE REFUND

Dorm fee refunds are possible only for the students in their first term on the campus. Other students will not be refunded except for cases of force majeure.

These cases are:

• Withdrawal from study due to failure in the METU English Proficiency Exam,

• Suspension of study by getting approval from the University,

• Obtaining a leave of absence from the University due to health reasons,

• Having another excuse accepted by the Executive Board of Dorms.

• If a decision is made that a student is entitled to a refund, the deduction is calculated based on the formula: Dormitory Fee Per Semester / 120 * 1.6 * Number of Days Spent in the Dormitory (calculated from the opening date of the Dormitory).
