IMPORTANT DORM ANNOUNCEMENTS
First Phase Dorm Placement Results (2026–2027 Academic Year)
Dear Students,
You can find the list of the First Phase Dormitory Placements here.
The payment deadline for students on the list is 10 August 2026 at 23:59.
Semester dormitory fee payments can be made by Credit Card via the OPAY System or by Money Order/EFT. Dormitory fee information is available here .
The opening date of the dormitories is September 21th, 2026..
For the Second Phase, the applications will be announced after YÖK announces the placement results.
The students who are placed in a Dorm but do not make the payment by the due date will lose their places, and these places will be allocated to Second Phase applicants.
Students who do not pay the dormitory fee cannot enter the dormitory.
Temporary accommodation will be provided for students who will take the English Proficiency exam on September 8th, 2026 and on September 15th, 2026. Those who have paid the dormitory fee for the 2026- 2027 academic year will be able to stay for this temporary period free of charge.

Important Note 1:
The guarantee given to the first-year students will only be valid when they apply in the First Phase, select all the Dorm options, and make the payment by the due date.
Important Note 2:
Beginning with the 2019-2020 Academic Year, dorm fee refunds are possible only for the students in their first term on the campus. Other students will not be refunded except for cases of force majeure.
These cases are:
- Withdrawal from study due to failure in the METU English Proficiency Examination.
- Suspension of study approved by the University.
- Leave of absence due to health reasons.
- Another excuse approved by the Executive Board of Dormitories.
