Industrial Engineering is a field of engineering that deals with the design, planning, installation, development, and operation of purpuse-built systems that involve human interaction and scarce resources. Industrial Engineering studies organized human activites and produces engineers with the ability to provide value to socio-economic systems. Industrial Engineering requires specialised expertise in engineering analysis and design as well as mathematics, science and social sciences. An Industrial Engineering undergraduate program aims to produce students who adopt the approach of ‘system thinking’ to find solutions to real-life problems and design systems using quantitative and qualitative research methods in general and statistical analysis and mathematical modeling in particular. Industrial Engineering programs that have been in demand for many years both in Turkey and worldwide offer appealing career opportunities to their graduates.
The METU Northern Cyprus Campus Industrial Engineering Undergraduate Program aims to produce graduates equipped with skills that allow them:
