Curriculum

The EEE MS program consists of 7 regular courses, one seminar course, and thesis research, which must add up to at least 21 credits. The 3 mandatory elective courses should be chosen from the 7 suggested elective courses. The 3 mandatory elective courses are taken during the first two semesters. The rest of the regular course workload consists of electives, to be taken during the second or third semesters. Although it is highly recommended to select a Thesis advisor, and form a Thesis committee with his/her guidance by the end of the first semester, it is conceivable this process extends into the second semester. The 4 elective courses can either be taken during the first semester or the second as long as the prerequisite requirement of the intended course is satisfied. The seminar course involves seminars given by instructors and students. The program typically lasts two years for full-time students, and is planned as follows:
