GENERAL
MANAGEMENT AND CORPORATE FINANCE MINOR PROGRAMS
Business Administration is an extremely popular
area of study at both the graduate and undergraduate level. As a result, we have
decided to propose two Minor Programs that should appeal to undergraduate
students studying in other areas. These Minors will give students a chance to
learn about the fundamentals of Business areas and allow them to be better
prepared for their future careers.
GENERAL MANAGEMENT MINOR
PROGRAM:
The Minor Program in General Management aims to
introduce students to the fundamental areas of management and help them develop
an understanding of the functioning of organizations and management thinking.
Students that complete the seven course program will have become familiar with
managerial issues and be able to plan their future learning/studies.

CORPORATE FINANCE
MINOR PROGRAM:
The Minor Program in Corporate Finance is best
suited to students that plan on pursuing careers in Finance or Accounting
related areas. The students are introduced to business and organization concepts
in BUS111 and BUS 221 but the core of the program consists of Accounting
(BUS142, BUS242) and Finance (BUS281) courses capped of with two electives that
allow the students to specialize in a branches of finance or accounting that
they are interested in.
